Hondarribia and the sea shuttle

The spanish border is about one hour drive from Seignosse.

We invite you to visit a typical spanish fishing village, known as Fontarrabie in french and as Hondarribia in basque language.

The most convenient way to get there is to park your car on the port of Hendaye and, as from that point, to take the « Marie Louise », which is THE ferry boat making the link between the french Hendaye and the spanish Hondarribia.

Once you’ve set foot on land at Hondarribia, disciver this port village full of history.

The houses with their coloured balconies, the main avenue with its little squares where you will find a lot of restaurants serving the local spanish basque spacialities : the infamous pintxos (tapas) accompanied by some good sangria.
