Discover Seignosse

The village

Small local shops, an inn, the city hall, the church, the school, the “fronton”: the wall on which we play Basque pelota, an old washing place and some beautiful and typical houses from the Landes…

This is how Seignosse-bourg looks like! A peacefull village in the Landes, far away from the hustle and bustle of big cities.

During summer, there is a free shuttle heading to the ocean, then it comes back to the village. The inhabitants like to share their celebrations and traditions. Don’t miss the « casetas » on August 15th: you’ll be able to meet the inhabitants and their families around food carts to share an enjoyable moment. The village’s associations prepare some chipirons and duck, cooked on a plancha.

Nearby the village, we can discover the Étang Noir, a wetland classified as a nature reserve. The inhabitants of Seignosse go there for a walk at any season to admire the view at the end of the footbridge.
