How far is it from the village of Seignosse to the beach?

The village is 5 km from Penon beach. By car, the journey takes 5 minutes, and by electric bike, around 15 minutes. In summer, the free YEGO shuttle bus runs every hour, allowing you to make this journey by bus.

Is there any accommodation near the beach?

Yes, all our accommodation options (campsites, hotels, holiday apartments and holiday villages) are evenly spread across the town. There is a greater concentration of commercial activity on the ocean side in summer, but Seignosse is a lively village all year round.

Can I leave my car there whilst I’m staying in Seignosse?

You can get around by bike or by bus using the summer shuttle services. This means you can reduce the number of car journeys you make. The same applies to travelling to the neighbouring towns of Hossegor and Capbreton. You’ll need your car if you’re staying near Les Casernes or L’Étang Blanc, as there are no shuttle buses to these more remote locations.

SEIGNOSSE: THE LUXURY OF SPACE

Seignosse is a very large commune, covering an area of nearly 3,000 hectares, 2,500 of which are woodland. A veritable green lung right on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

To the west lie 6 km of unbroken beaches, flanked by residential neighbourhoods: Le Penon, Les Bourdaines and Les Estagnots,

To the north lies the unspoilt site of Les Casernes,

In the centre lies the vast pine forest with its 40 km of marked trails, which is also home to the 18-hole golf course, one of the finest in Europe,

To the east lies the village of Seignosse, a traditional village of the Landes region, which serves as the gateway to the two freshwater lakes: the Étang Noir and the Étang Blanc,

and to get around all these areas, there are 30 km of cycle paths, including the famous Vélodyssée, which crosses the municipality from north to south
