Take a stroll through our markets

The Seignosse Market is a must-visit during the summer holidays. We love strolling around, chatting to the craftspeople and producers, sampling local specialities, doing a spot of shopping and taking home a souvenir made in the Landes. In Seignosse and the surrounding area, there are plenty of markets, all brimming with goods. If you’re a foodie and a lover of local produce, you simply can’t miss out on our specialities here in the Landes: asparagus and kiwi fruit in season, as well as duck and all the different ways to enjoy it, fish from the Port of Capbreton, oysters from Lake Hossegor, and finally the king of desserts: Pastis Landais served with custard or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

The markets

From 1 to 4 times a week during the summer season, in the mornings or in the evenings, in the village or in the Penon neighbourhood, all the producers are at the market. They love introducing you to specialities from the Landes region: duck breast, foie gras, asparagus, kiwi, pastis, tourtière… nothing but top-quality produce!
The Seignosse Bourg market is a small year-round food market, held on Wednesday mornings.
The seasonal market in Seignosse-le-Penon opens gradually from April onwards, reaching its peak in July and August with three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

DIRECT FROM THE PRODUCER

Local producers love to showcase their craftsmanship and invite you to visit them directly at their workshops or shops. Here is our selection, if you’re a fan of local produce and high-quality goods.
