In Seignosse, whatever the season, you can feel the immediate, relaxing benefits of the pine and cork oak forest.

That distinctive scent of pine, found only in the Landes, is particularly pronounced on hot summer’s days and in the depths of winter, when it mingles with the humus of the soil. Take a deep breath of fresh air and, above all, enjoy yourself as you explore all our signposted forest trails.

Whether you’re walking or running, here are a few route suggestions – there are 40 km in total. Here, we walk or run on the sand along the beach, and criss-cross the forest on paths stabilised by pine needles. For those who prefer jogging on tarmac, there’s the La Vélodyssée Greenway, which is car-free.

And if you’d like to go further, the Tourist Office offers ‘forest bathing’ sessions in summer, or fitness walking sessions to help you stay in shape.

SIGNPOSTING & TOPOGRAPHIC GUIDE

The Seignosse Forest covers 75 per cent of the municipality’s total area. It is a veritable green lung, which you can enjoy during your walks and hikes. The six forest trails are colour-coded; the markings are clearly visible on the trees and are checked and maintained every year by the local council. For descriptions and technical details of each trail, head to the Seignosse Tourist Office to buy the complete Topo-Guide (€2).
