On which beaches do the competitions take place?

Surfing adapts to the conditions on the day! The organisers of the Quiksilver Festival decide a few days in advance which beaches will host the official contests. These are usually in the Estagnots area of Seignosse or on the northern beaches of Hossegor. Is the Festival free?

Absolutely, Quiksilver is completely free – not just the surfing events, but also the skateboarding contests and the many concerts, autograph sessions and film screenings.

Why does the festival last 9 days?

In surfing, this is known as the ‘waiting period’: a fairly long period of a few days is set aside to monitor the ocean conditions and decide on the exact day the events will take place. Check social media or the Quiksilver Festival website for LIVE updates.

Quiksilver Festival

From 19 to 27 September 2026, the Quiksilver Festival will take place at the famous surf spots of Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse, on the southern coast of the Landes.

Quiksilver, the iconic brand, is teaming up with Jérémie Flores, the world-renowned surfer, to organise a unique competition:a gathering of the world’s 25 best male and female surfers, who will compete in a spirit of friendship across a range of events over several days. They love our waves, the atmosphere of the southern coast of the Landes, and above all the Festival’s off-programme events: concerts, autograph sessions, beach events…

The fourth edition of the Quiksilver Festival promises a total immersion in board culture, with top-class sporting events and a host of highlights open to everyone over 10 days: competitions on the beaches of the three towns – Hossegor, Seignosse and Capbreton – skate contests, surf film screenings, DJ nights and concerts

The Programme

Following three hugely successful editions, the Quiksilver Festival has established itself as the must-attend event of the autumn for surfing and board culture enthusiasts. It returns with an even more packed programme and a line-up of exceptional surfers. Once again this year, Jérémy Flores and Miky Picon will be hosting twenty-four of the world’s best male and female surfers, who will compete on the legendary waves of Seignosse and Hossegor.

As well as the surfing competitions, the Quiksilver Festival offers a programme packed with highlights: concerts by international artists and autograph sessions with the athletes.

True to its free-spirited and festive ethos, the festival will buzz for several days to the beat of eclectic pop music, bringing together headliners and up-and-coming talent. And it’s all free to attend!
