Launched in 2015, Lire sur la vague is a children’s book and comic festival. The Children’s Book Festival takes place alternately in the town of Seignosse and the town of Hossegor.

‘Lire sur la vague’ is also an organisation: chaired by Jean Delas, founder of L’École des Loisirs and a resident of Hossegor, its aim is to combat illiteracy, particularly amongst the youngest children, by promoting books and reading amongst local authorities and families. The Festival is the highlight of the association’s activities throughout the year.
