Protecting 52 ha of wetlands, the Nature Reserve is the home of characteristic wildlife habitats in Les Landes. A wooden plank footpath leads you to the lake through a swamp forest, bog, stream... L'Etang Noir which gives its name to the nature reserve stands out by its deep waters and mudflats. The surrounding swamp forest generates dense shade and this reinforces the mysterious atmosphere of the site. At the end of the plank footpath, you'll discover a stunning view on the Etang Noir lake. Guided tours on reservation during summer school holidays. Ask about the programme. Reservation required for groups. Reception, guided tours in French sign language. The Nature Reserve is approved by the local Charter for sustainable tourism.
