Casernes Beach

Ajouter aux favoris

Les Casernes is Seignosse’s wildest beach! Tucked away a little to the north, it’s a typical Landes beach: where the vast forest meets the dunes and the ocean. It’s a delight for lovers of the great outdoors. There are no buildings to spoil the view. You’ll reach it after a few minutes’ walk and a short climb, but it’s well worth the effort: you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view.

natural and authentic

Casernes Beach is accessible by car – there’s a large car park – but you can also reach it via the cycle path or the “Rose” footpath, which starts in the Penon neighbourhood.  You’ll need to finish the journey on foot, however, along a path that climbs up the dune. Once you arrive at Les Casernes, you won’t want to leave – the place is so wild and unspoilt. Here, there’s no hustle and bustle – just nature lovers, guests from the two nearby campsites, and of course the surfers, for whom it’s a ‘secret spot ’. The beach has been awarded the ‘Qualité Tourisme’ label.

Lifeguards are on duty only in July and August, but the surf schools and the beach restaurant open as early as April.
